The faculty development program aims to cover detailed sessions on outcome based pedagogic principles for effective teaching. It is dealing with Outcome based Education System. The key objective of this program is to introduce the topic in a different perspective and to impart better knowledge and understanding of this important issue and also to train the participants with the teaching methodology. This FDP course is a Multidisciplinary so participants are from all domains of Engineering (Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical and Computer Science & Engineering) Pharmacy, MBA and Architecture.
Day:1 (3rd Dec 2019)
Inauguration Session: 10:30 to 11:30 am
Faculty development Program has been Inaugurated by honorable Chief Guest Prof. Dharmendra Kumar, Professor, Department of Computer Science, GJUST, Hisar, Guest of Honor Prof. Sangeeta Gupta, Director, IQAC, MERI, Janakpuri, Delhi, Director, MIT Dr. Rohit Garg, Dean of Student Welfare Prof. V. Singh and Convener of the program Dr. Kshitij Singhal and all other dignitaries enlighten the Lamp to begin this program.
Dr. Rohit Garg, Director, MIT, Moradabad has presented the aim of this FDP program and its relevance.
Honorable Guest of Honor Prof. Sangeeta Gupta, Director, IQAC, MERI, Janakpuri, Delhi addressed the gathering and highlighted that teacher role is not only class room teaching it is beyond that various other role if they opt voluntary then it will fulfill their goal along with Institute Goal.
Chief Guest Respected Prof. Dharmendra Kumar, Professor, Department of Computer Science, GJUST, Hisar, addressed the gathering about the meaning of Outcome based Education.
Token of Regard has been presented to Chief Guest and Guest of Honor and session was ended by Vote of thanks by Dr. Kshitij Singhal, HOD, ECE Department, Convener, FDP program.
Keynote Speaker Prof. Sangeeta Gupta, Director, IQAC, MERI, Janakpuri, Delhi has delivered her lecture on “Quality in Technical Education: A Challenge”. She has highlighted the problems and challenges in the teaching system and possible solutions have been discussed by her.
Keynote Speaker Prof. Dharmendra Kumar, Professor, Department of Computer Science, GJUST, Hisar delivered his talk on “NBA Assessment & Accreditation Process: Importance & Requirements”. He has discussed the effectiveness of OBE (Outcome Based Education). Prof. D. Kumar explained why there is need of NBA in the Education system. The session was very interactive he listened the shortcomings and what are the problems faculty participants were facing in their teaching and sir has suggested its solution.
Session- 3 (10:30 – 01:00 pm)
Keynote speaker Dr. Rajeev Tiwari, ABESIT, Gahziabad delivered his lecture on Outcome, Outcome based education and time based education. Various innovative tools that a teaching can use for making teaching learning process more effective and outcome based instead of output based. Course Outcome defining, mapping with Program Outcome and CO, PO attainment calculation. Other countries adopted techniques and efforts taken to implement OBE have been described.
Session-4 (2:15 – 4:45pm)
Session expert Prof. Rishipal, Dean Humanities and Applied Sciences, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Gurugram delivered his talk on Learning Centric Outcome based Innovative Pedagogy. Key elements required in students or that can be developed by teacher are Potential, Grooming, Competency and Proficiency. He has explained the types of teaching approach: Teacher Centric, Student Centric and Learning Centric. Most effective is Student centric teaching techniques. By the help case study he has described in details about outcome based teaching.
