The past three decades have seen a colossal advancement in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, which has extensively blessed the human beings with scintillating success in every facet of their lives. Computer Science and Engineering has shrunk the world into a global village and expanded the horizon beyond imagination. The Internet has revolutionized knowledge sharing and democratized access to information to a degree unprecedented in recorded human history. Computers Science and Information Technology have enabled the world community to progress at the supersonic velocity and contributed immensely in the growth of economy. understanding and using computers, softwares and internet is part of necessary skill set for an educated person in the 21st century. study of this discipline after rewarding and challenging possibilities to everyone. One can imagine the contribution of Computers Science and information Technology by the fact, that at present, every sixth person in the world is one way or in other employed in IT industries.
The Computer Science & Engineering department of the institute is one of the founding departments started in 1996. Department earned a very good reputation and achieved many milestones on its glorious path towards excellence in computer education in its journey of 26 years. Presently the department is running B.Tech programme in Computer Science and Engineering with intake of 180 and is NBA accredited in the year 2004, 2008, 2013 and 2022. Department is also running specialized B.Tech Programme in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and B.Voc Programme in Graphics & Multimedia.
The department is dedicated for providing best education and practical facilities to its students. A variety of computing facilities are available for our faculties member, students and staff. We maintain very conducive, feel-at-home & open culture in the premises, because we believe in progressive unfoldment of the students towards becoming perfect IT professionals. To achieve this goal apart from regular studies, we cultivate the virtues of discipline, high moral values, competitiveness and team spirit in our students which leads to the overall personality development of the students.
Departments consist of well equipped laboratories for separate computing platforms, enabling the students to work with different cutting edges and hot cake technologies. Enough laboratory time is made available to the students for maximum upliftment of their software and design skills.
Our main strength is well qualified, experienced and dedicated team of twenty eight faculty members, who are very enthusiastic in learning new technologies and updating their skill sets. Faculty members are always ready to guide students apart from regular teaching hours to solve their problems related to curriculum as well as personal.
The students have access to Internet facility through 40 Mbps NME VPN from BSNL & 242 Mbps Dedicated Idea Leased Line connection on Optical Fiber from city braodband network, not only in central facilities like Internet Centre, Computer Centre but also in Labs and dedicated wi-fi facility provided throughout the college premises. At present department has about 275 PCs and thin clients. All the labs are having licensed software packages(Campus Agreement from Microsoft) which gives the opportunities to the students to develop their practical skills as desired by the industries.
Our students are very well placed in top software companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture, IBM, Nokia Siemens, Birlasoft, L&T, DRDO, Reliance.
