Program Educational Outcomes (PEOs)

Students who complete the MCA program will be able to:

PEO 1: Acquire and demonstrate foundational technical and professional knowledge essential for employment and continuous learning in the IT industry.

PEO 2: Utilize emerging technologies and problem-solving skills to adapt to a rapidly evolving IT environment.

PEO 3: Exhibit ethical responsibility and leadership by making value-driven decisions that promote innovation and contribute to sustainable development.

Program Outcomes

1. Computational Knowledge:

Apply knowledge of computing fundamentals, computing specialization, mathematics, and domain knowledge appropriate for the computing specialization to abstract and conceptualize computing models from defined problems and requirements.

 2. Problem Analysis:

Identify, formulate, research literature, and solve complex computing problems, reaching substantiated conclusions using fundamental principles of mathematics, computing sciences, and relevant domain disciplines.

 3. Design /Development of Solutions:

Design and evaluate solutions for complex computing problems and systems, components, or processes that meet specified needs while considering appropriate public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

 4. Conduct investigations of complex Computing problems:

Utilize research-based knowledge and methodologies, including experimental design, data analysis and interpretation, and information synthesis to deliver valid conclusions.

5. Modern Tool Usage:

Develop, choose, modify, and employ suitable techniques, resources, and modern computing tools for complex computing tasks, while recognizing the limitations.

 6. Professional Ethics:

Understand and adhere to professional ethics, cyber regulations, responsibilities, and the standards of professional computing practices.

 7. Life-long Learning:

Acknowledge the importance and possess the capability to engage in independent learning for ongoing growth as a computing professional.

 8. Project management and finance:

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of computing and management principles and apply them to one’s own work as a team member and leader to manage projects and multidisciplinary environments.

 9. Communication Efficacy:

Communicate effectively with both the computing community and society at large about complex computing activities by comprehending and writing effective reports, designing documentation, making impactful presentations, and providing and understanding clear instructions.

 10. Societal and Environmental Concerns:

Understand and evaluate societal, environmental, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues in both local and global contexts, along with the corresponding responsibilities related to professional computing practices.

 11. Individual and Team Work:

Function effectively both as an individual and as a contributor or leader within diverse teams and multidisciplinary environments.

12. Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Identify a timely opportunity and use innovation to pursue that opportunity, creating value and wealth for the betterment of individuals and society as a whole.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

After completing the MCA program, students will be able to:

PSO 1- Develop analytical and logical thinking skills to design practical solutions for real-world problems in the software industry.

PSO 2- Utilize modern computing tools, techniques, and emerging technologies to develop innovative solutions for complex IT problems.

PSO 3- Apply IT skills ethically and responsibly to contribute to societal development while adhering to cyber laws and ethical computing practices.

Program Educational Objectives

The students who have undergone the BCA Program will –

PEO1 – Develop a strong foundation in computer science concepts and applications, preparing for a successful career in the IT industry.

PEO2 – Explore and assess emerging technologies to create innovative solutions for real-world challenges.

PEO3 – Acquire hands-on experience and a practical understanding of industry-standard software development tools and technologies.

Program Outcomes

At the end of the BCA Programme, graduates will be able to

PO1: Problem Analysis and Understanding: Apply mathematical knowledge, foundational computing principles, and subject matter expertise to tackle complex computing challenges.

PO2: Develop Solutions: Design, implement, and assess a computing-based solution to address desired needs while considering public health, safety, and environmental concerns.

PO3: Communicate with audience: The ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences through various methods, including both written and oral communication.

PO4: Teamwork & Ethics: Collaborate effectively in teams and help design and implement computing systems guided by ethical principles.

PO5: Decision-making: Design experiments, gather data, and analyze it to make informed decisions regarding computer applications.

Program Specific Outcomes

After completing their course, BCA students will have the ability to –

PSO 1: Acquire foundational and advanced technical skills in computer application to develop efficient software solutions.

PSO 2: Evaluate industry needs and use analytical skills to create and execute practical software projects.

PSO 3: Demonstrate teamwork and practical communication skills to successfully present technical solutions and collaborate in professional environments.
