Value Education Cell

The Value Education Cell at MIT has been established in November 2018 in conjugation with Value Education Cell, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow. The need for value education has been repeatedly highlighted by various commissions and experts committee members Dr. Radhakrishnan, Dr. Kothari, UNESCO declaration on service to society.

The scope of education is to understand ones participation or goal, both as individual, family, society and nature/ Existence. The role of Education is to facilitate the development of competence in students to live with definite human conduct. So education is basically to understand what to do as human being, what is valuable for human being and how to accomplish this. So human education is, which enable students to

  1. To develop right understanding by sharing the understanding of what to do, which lies in the domain of Value Education?
  2. To develop right skills by teaching how to do, which lies in the domain of Technical Education?
  3. Practice of right living during education
    • Living in relationship with human being leading to mutual Happiness.
    • Living in relationship with rest of nature leading to mutual Prosperity.

Objective of Value education Cell

  1. To conduct various workshops on “Universal Human Values” offered by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Techanical University and AICTE.
  2. To conduct various college level workshops for Faculty, Staff and Students for further exploration of various relationships e.g. Human- human and human- rest of nature.

  1. Conducted a workshop (Level 1) on “Universal Human Values & Professional Ethics” during 10-17 January 2018.
  2. Conducted a workshop (Refresher Level 1) on “Universal Human Values & Professional Ethics” during 10-17 July 2018.
  3. Conducted a workshop (Level 1) on “Universal Human Values & Professional Ethics” during 15-22 January 2019.
  4. Conducted a workshop on “Universal Human Values for Student Induction” during 23-25 October 2019.
  5. Conducted an evening workshop on “An Investigation of Human Aspirations and root cause of problems prevailing in the society through Self-Exploration” for Students during 19th August 2019 to 07 September 2019.
  6. Conducted workshop on “Science of Relationships” for Staff members during 17-21 December 2019.
  7. Organized 3-day online workshop on “Breathing techniques to make our lungs immune to diseases” from 24 April 2021 to 26 April 2021 for Faculty, Staff, and students.
  8. Conducted a webinar on “Holistic Development and Role of Education” on Google Meet on 6 June 2021.
  9. Celebrated International Yoga Day-2021 on 21 June 2021, both online and offline mode.
